Wellness Wednesday with Bumble Charlotte was a powerful event! Paneling with Finley Funsten of MADabolic Fitness and Erin Thomas Sweatnet Charlotte was a great opportunity to speak from many aspects of wellness. We discussed our personal stories, professional endeavors, mental health, nutrition and finding connection in Charlotte through getting active. A few tips from my talk: ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀ ✨ When athletes finish their sport (especially college level), there is a huge shift in priorities and purpose that doesn’t adequately get addressed. Group fitness is where I’ve found a familiar team culture. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀ ✨ I make fitness fun by trying new things and workouts like the Warrior Dash, Rockbox, Fit Atelier, STAX Charlotte, Barre Code, YMCA C2 5k, spin classes,etc. Never be afraid to switch things up! ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀ ✨ I balance who I follow on Instagram to prevent distorted comparisons and expectations of myself as a fitness professional. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀ ✨”Getting back on track” is more than just going back to the gym.
